Volleyball Training Program for Teenagers
Introduction
Volleyball is an exciting and dynamic sport that not only improves physical fitness but also fosters teamwork and communication skills. This training program is designed for teenagers who want to enhance their skills, fitness, and understanding of the game.
Training Objectives
Improve fundamental skills: serving, passing, setting, hitting, and blocking.
Develop physical fitness: strength, agility, endurance, and flexibility.
Enhance teamwork and communication on the court.
Increase game knowledge and strategy.
Our Schedule
Session Breakdown
Warm-Up (15 minutes)
Dynamic stretches (high knees, butt kicks, arm circles)
Light jogging or agility drills
Skill Development (60 minutes)
Serving (15 minutes)
Practice underhand and overhand serves.
Focus on accuracy and power.
Passing (15 minutes)
Drill forearm passing and overhead passing.
Partner drills for accuracy.
Setting (15 minutes)
Practice setting techniques with a partner.
Focus on hand positioning and footwork.
Hitting (15 minutes)
Drill approach and swing mechanics.
Work on timing with setters.
Blocking (15 minutes)
Practice footwork and timing for blocking.
Drill positioning with teammates.
Scrimmage (30 minutes)
Divide into teams for practice games.
Focus on implementing skills learned during training.
Cool Down (15 minutes)
Static stretching to improve flexibility.
Team discussion for feedback and improvement.
