Welcome to Burnaby Willingdon Heights Baptist Church
We are a vibrant, Cantonese-speaking Christian community in the heart of Burnaby, dedicated to serving our neighbors and sharing the transformative message of love and hope. Our vision is to build a diverse community filled with Christ’s love through spiritual nourishment, practical care, and cultural connection. Our church is a sanctuary where people from all walks of life—from newcomers settling in Canada to long-time residents—come together to worship, learn, and grow.
At Burnaby Willingdon Heights Baptist Church, we are committed to nurturing both the spiritual and practical well-being of individuals and families. Led by pastoral staff with professional theological training (Master of Divinity) and extensive experience in community care, we walk alongside our members on their journey of faith and life.

-
Inclusion : Believing every person is created in the image of God and deserves a safe place to belong.
Our Beliefs
The Bible
We believe that the entire Old and New Testaments are the complete, inspired Word of God; the only rule of faith and behavior, and the foundation of all Christian unity.
God
We believe in one God, the Creator of the universe—holy, almighty, and everlasting—existing eternally in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Jesus Christ
We believe in the dual nature of Jesus Christ as both true God and true man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin, and died on the cross to atone for the sins of mankind. We believe in His bodily resurrection, His glorious ascension, and His future return.
Holy Spirit
We believe in the divinity of the Holy Spirit, who convicts the world of sin, regenerates the believer, and provides comfort, enlightenment, and sanctification to all who believe in Jesus.
Salvation
We believe salvation is a gift of God's grace, achieved through Christ’s voluntary atoning death and resurrection, and is received through faith alone.
The Local Church & Sacraments
We believe the church is composed of believers called to serve one another and build each other up under the leadership of Christ. We observe two sacraments:
-
Baptism: The immersion of the believer in water as a symbol of death to sin and resurrection with Christ.
-
The Lord’s Supper: A memorial meal representing the body and blood of Christ, observed in remembrance of His sacrifice.
